Borrowing Information

Pigeon Lake Public Library is a member of Yellowhead Regional Library. Pigeon Lake Public Library is also a member of The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) and ofThe Alberta Library (TAL). Our participation in The Alberta Library gives our patrons access to 15 million items in over 230 Alberta libraries.

Residents of the Pigeon Lake Region may acquire a library card provided that proper identification is shown.

Your library card is a TRAC/TAL card. This means that as a member of Pigeon Lake Public Library, you may borrow and return books at any Alberta Library.

To obtain a library membership we ask that you be 18 years of age and older; however, we do offer Teen Membership cards for those who are under 18 years of age and can not have their parent come in to sign a card. A letter will be sent to parents/legal guardians alerting them to their responsibility for items borrowed.

Library Membership:

Individual Membership: $10.00

Family Membership: $15.00

Note: Ma-Me-O Rate Payers can “Renew” their membership without charge as their annual library membership fee is covered through their Summer Village taxes.  Renewals confirms interest and provides the opportunity to update library information.

If you lose your library card please contact the library immediately to avoid the unauthorized use of your library card.

If you move or change your phone number please notify us as soon as possible in order to keep you file up to date.

To sign out items from our library, you must have your card present.
